Lanza-RAD-y!

Pictured: A lone surfer off the fff-reeze in the water.

Next week I am heading to the Canary Islands for JetAway to learn to surf. This is no small thing for me. For four years I lived in Sydney and dated a super, SUPER-hot surfer (who I still hope to get back to…wink wink). Our first outing into the gnarly breaks was pretty bad. I toppled off what I maintain was a six foot wave (he says six inch), was dragged across the ocean floor, experiencing flashbacks of my life, came up for air and was promptly the fibreglass board promptly met my forehead. Suffering mild concussion I went back to shore to recover while he recovered the most important thing – the board. Typical surfer! I’m hoping that Tim Jones from Surf School Lanzarote can work better with amateurs like me because there’s an infamous wave there called ‘The Slab’ and it doesn’t sound too cosey! Keep you posted!
